SPE Uganda Section was established on 19th December 2011.
To connect a global community of engineers, scientists, and related energy professionals to exchange knowledge, innovate, and advance their technical and professional competence regarding the exploration, development, and production of oil and gas and related energy resources to achieve a safe, secure, and sustainable energy future.
SPE advances the ability of oil and gas producing and related energy communities to meet the world’s energy needs in a safe, secure, and sustainable manner.
The SPE Uganda Section, a subsidiary of SPE International, serves as a premier platform for knowledge exchange, networking, and professional development for individuals involved in Uganda’s petroleum and energy sectors. It is dedicated to fostering technical innovation, advancing industry expertise, and promoting best practices in oil and gas exploration, development, production, and environmental stewardship.
Established in 2011, SPE Uganda Section organizes conferences, workshops, and technical sessions tailored to the challenges and opportunities in Uganda’s growing oil and gas industry. It also engages in community outreach and capacity building programs, providing resources and support for students and young professionals. By connecting industry professionals, academia, and government stakeholders, SPE Uganda Section plays a pivotal role in advancing Uganda’s energy sector.
